Chapter Committees
To join a committee or learn more about its activities contact the committee chair.
Membership
- Maintain the Chapter roster as needed to support distributions, elections, etc.
- Coordinate regularly with other committee chairs re potential members and roster changes.
Program
- Organize and execute bi-monthly Chapter meetings as directed by the Board.
- Produce meeting announcements and reminders; coordinate with Website and Newsletter.
Media and Public Relations
- Maintain a contact list of local media; coordinate with EERI National office.
- Organize and execute April and October media events as directed by the Board; coordinate with Quake '06 progress reports.
- Maintain press clippings; coordinate with Website.
Legislation
Newsletter
- Produce and distribute Chapter news/announcements on a regular basis; coordinate with Membership Committee for distribution lists.
- Distribute a production schedule and guidelines for submittals; coordinate with committee chairs and likely contributors.
Website
- Maintain and update the Chapter website; coordinate with www.eeri.org.
- Distribute an update schedule and guidelines for submittals; coordinate with committee chairs and likely contributors.
- Produce a list of pages lacking content.
Strategic Planning
- Ad Hoc Committee to review and manage the update process for the Chapter's Strategic plan.
Nominating
- Ad Hoc Committee to identify and ask candidates for the Board of Directors.
Awards
- Ad Hoc Committee to seek nominations and arrange for awards to recognize earthquake risk reduction efforts in Northern California and active Chapter members.
