Liaison Organizations
The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute's Northern California Chapter is a member of the '06 Earthquake Centennial Alliance (http://06Centennial.org). The Alliance's objective is to use the centennial of the 1906 earthquake to highlight a century of progress toward understanding earthquake hazards and reducing risks as well as to commemorate the cultural and social response to this historic event.
In addition, Quake '06 is sponsored by the following organizations: FEMA (http://www.fema.gov), USGS (http://www.usgs.gov), OES (http://www.oes.ca.gov), ABAG (http://www.abag.ca.gov), CGS (http://www.consrv.ca.gov/cgs), and CSSC (http://www.seismic.ca.gov).
